There are days I can’t help but feel embarrassed for Pittsburgh sports fans.
This is one.
That’s from Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. But before you think he had an epiphany, he was only concerned about this:
Those at Mellon Arena who gave Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury a mock cheer Friday night for stopping a puck early in the 2-1 Game 2 win against the Ottawa Senators.
You know who you are.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
The rest of the piece is here. But Ron, if you really want to ask questions, ask why the Pittsburgh fans don’t boo Matt Cooke when he hits the ice. Or how about Chris “Two Hander” Kunitz? Another favorite is good old Brooks Orpik, a guy who gets by in the NHL on more than hockey skills.
You have a good team, Pittsburgh, so why allow Cooke to play like a Missouri serial killer?
