I’m back in town and watched the last two Blue Jacket games from my hotel room, enjoying the Dallas and Detroit feeds. I liked the quality of the broadcasts, but they couldn’t erase the agony of seeing the local boys continue to flounder away. It was especially interesting to listen to Darryl Reaugh, Hitchcock’s buddy and Dallas broadcaster, comment on the game with a twinge in his voice as he watched the Jackets’ dismal performance. Razor has to be shocked at far the Jackets have fallen since they last played on November 19, when the Jackets easily defeated the Stars, 4-1. In the nineteen games played since then, Columbus has won only two games.
So tomorrow when I sit at Nationwide, how many fans will show up and how many of them will be wearing red? Who will be booed louder, Ken Hitchcock or Rick Nash?
