Leclaire Out

Blue Jackets’ Leclaire out for the season.

Blue Jackets goaltender Pascal Leclaire will have surgery on his right ankle and miss the remainder of the 2008-09 season, The Dispatch has learned. The report was confirmed by Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson this morning in Edmonton, where the Jackets will play the Oilers tonight

OK, are you really surprised?  I hope his recovery is speedy and complete.  He’s a decent netminder, in spite of what you read from the comments at Puck-Rakers.  The team needs him in the future and I look forward to seeing him back on the ice next season.

Let the shit comments fly!

  1. No, I’m not. Picking up Dubie basically announced this, even if Howson waited a few days.

I’d like to see him get healthy and really challenge Mason in camp. I’d rather see them push each other, especially since aside from Dublewciz, I think the cupboard is pretty bare for goaltending.

(Is Dahm ready for Syracuse? Is York? If we’re seriously looking at trading Pazzy, one of them better be…)
